Until today when I managed to solve it by running Asus-provided (much outdated to my disliking) Intel and Nvidia graphics drivers, I standardly believed the OEM's told you for no reason to only get their model-supplied drivers, and by default always got
(and Intel/Nvidiaĭriver also work together to let this very laptop-model specific system work seamlessly) So the point is that hybrid graphics (optimus-aka it chooses whether to run Intel HD card for efficiency or Nvidia powerful one) in the way its implemented, isnt included in the modern (latest) Nvidia and Intel drivers, to work with the laptop. Turns out it needs both the older 2013 Intel HD graphics driver and the older 2013 Nvidia GPU driver, from ASUS, released for this very specific
